Brett finally let me put his puddle jumper on and he LOVED it!
Blake improved his swimming a ton this summer!
One of my favorite snacks this summer, capriese salad.
Blake, Brett, and the Burroughs kids having fun at the spray ground.
Our patio garden!
We forgot to plant our pumpkin seeds earlier, but here are the first few sprouts.
Blake was obsessed with "chiseling" the big stone with the smaller rocks.
Blake's new school (a very small portion of it).
The boys are their mobile games. Sometimes they play nicely together.
One of Brett's zinnia blooms. The hummingbirds love these blooms.
Blake's new student open house.
This is what we had to find on our scavenger hunt around the school.
Blake at his back to school night.
Riding the school bus at the bus safety event. Blake was so excited when we got on, but then decided he hated it about halfway through our 10 minute ride. I was pretty carsick myself.
We really enjoyed our new pool at the end of the summer.
Our marigolds did so much better this year. This was a collage of some of my favorite blooms.
Blake next to the sunflower that he planted. I can't believe how much it grew the last couple weeks.
The brightness of the yellow is hard to capture in a photo. They were incredible.
Blake was SO excited to start first grade. He said he was glad to not have to go grocery shopping with me during the day anymore.
Me with my sunflower babies.
Brett with his zinnias that would probably be taller than him if I hadn't planted them in the side of the marigold pot (I honestly thought what we finally had sprouted was a weed after 2 weeks of nothing).
Always working on his mud stew.
We went to the Children's Museum in Dayton (Boonshoft Museum of Discovery) and it was a huge success! First we got to watch a science experiment show.
Rainbow water!
Water is always exciting.
They made their own kaleidoscopes.
The recycling truck was the biggest hit.
There was a really cool treehouse where you could bird watch.
And our first Planetarium experience.
Our yearly family collages finally have a home! After this year, we'll have to figure out where to put them next...
Our pumpkin seeds are growing! I really hope we get some pumpkins before Halloween.
Our mudroom area is starting to get more organized. Shoes and tall coat rack on the left, and bookbag/kid coat rack on the right.
With calendars and school notes.
Reward for letting me take his 4 year old balloon pics, throwing rocks in the creek.
My garden buddy, working on his mud stew.
Brett's first day of 4 year old preschool in the Dolphins class.
We made our first big jigsaw puzzle. Blake was excited for the first bit, but it soon wore off.
The vacuum broke and I decided to try and fix it for a few bucks rather than replace it for a lot more. I put a new on/off switch in it and it's back up and running!
Blake begged to help cut veggies for dinner. He did a really great job, but then ate 1 bite of veggies, haha.
Ramp building.
I still love sleeping pics. So sweet and peaceful.
