Before baking our Valentine's cookies. Blake on the right and Brett on the left.
I taught Blake how to crochet a chain and he is obsessed.
Brett got pretty sick and we weren't sure if it was because he hadn't had a bowel movement in a week or if it was a stomach bug. He got pretty good at using the throw up bucket at least.
Our favorite board game has been Monopoly Junior lately.
Brett loving on all the stuffed animals.
My weekend treat, french pressed coffee.
Valentine's Day exchange at school. Brett and Beckett were excited about getting Cars themed valentines.
Brett playing the heart toss game.
Does anyone need more chocolate sauce (of course Brett does)?
Ice cream sundaes are the best.
Me and my little man.
I tried to have "heart hair". It kind of worked.
The boys wanted a candle lit dinner for Valentines Day and they felt so special! I think this will become a tradition for us. Blake even told me he wanted to marry me (be still my heart!).
The weather in February is so strange. 70s one day and freezing the next.
Warming by the fire with Brett.
Brett working on reading his Bob books.
The boys have been getting into Lego Marvel superhero games on the PS3.
This weather is so strange.
We had a ton of wind and it was perfect for kite flying. Good thing we had our kites from last year (since new ones aren't being sold in stores just yet this year). We got this Macaw kite at a yard sale in Florida and it was awesome finally getting it into the air. It is a huge kite!
A pic of me and the boys enjoying the last day before a week of forecasted rain.
Before haircuts.
And after.
Brett went to a 5 senses program at the library and made all kinds of crafts!
Working on his writing with his new pencil helper.
Blake had his birthday at Pump It Up this year and this was the party room after all the fun on the bounce houses (which I didn't really get pics of).
The whole crew.
And with silly faces.
Blake sitting on his throne.
Snack time before we had cake.
Cake ready to be served.
Brett gave the cake a "thumbs up".
Nice water bottle tower Hendrix!
Blake with all the ladies.
Most of the crew.
Some tired cousins.
Playing one of Blake's new games, Googly Eyes. It was great in concept (Pictionary with glasses that make it hard to see) but it was too bad that we all ended up with a headache.
Then a little twister.
Blake got a world map for his birthday to complete our map wall.
Eating lunch with Blake at school.
And we pulled out the growth chart for Blake's birthday. Once we find a house we'll put it back on the wall.
The obligatory pics of the boys with their girl cousins before they left on their journey back to Tennessee. We're so glad they were able to join us for Blake's birthday party weekend!
