The Harvey Family: Blake

This week, Blake:

has been going to bed earlier. We start putting him to bed around 7pm and he's typically down around 7:30pm. It's been quite a rush trying to get home from work, get him his solids, then bath, then all his meds and skin cream/lotion/ointment, then bottle and/or nurse before bed. The good news is that he's been sleeping 11+ hours, woohoo! He's typically up before I leave for work at 6:45am.
tried green beans and oatmeal and, like all food so far, really liked them. He always has the bitter beer face when he tries something new but by the second and third bite he is enjoying it.
has had a smaller appetite and hasn't been eating as much as he did a month ago. He typically eats less than 30oz per day plus 4 Tbsp of rice cereal and half a jar of stage 1 solids. This week we found out how much arsenic is in rice products so we started cutting back the rice cereal a little bit.
still wants to jumperoo on everything and everyone... he has a lot of happy energy. =)
has been a little more snuggly. He used to push my face away from him and didn't want to be up close to my while I was holding him but now he'll grab around my neck and snuggle into my neck even when he's not tired. <3
has been exploring more when he's in his bath. He wants to spin all the way around and see what every inch of his tub looks like until he's sideways in his little blue tub... and stuck. His core strength is increasing and maybe he'll start making moves toward crawling soon?
still loves his high pitched voice and even uses it to try and sing. It is mostly "ahhhhhh" in a really high pitched falsetto voice. It even becomes piercing at times and it hurts your ears if you're too close. You can see it on his face before he does it because he has to brace himself for the screech.
went to the doctor, got his flu shot (which was strongly recommended by his doctor), and weighed in at 19 lb 13 oz.
got better at rolling from back to front and his chest muscles are finally starting to get strong enough to lift himself up off the floor a little. He's even started making complete log rolls to move himself from one place to another.
