This week, Blake:
- got much better at his Jumperoo and actually started jumping on it instead of just standing.
- seems to have the GERD and crazy outbursts under control. Blake has really had a pain outburst in a while with my new diet and his special formula. We are also giving him the max dose of Zantac now.
- rolled over from his back to front with only a little help from me.
- showed us that he could kick the crap out of the froggy bar that we attached to his gymini and lift his but off the ground by putting his feet up on it.
- tried rice cereal with a spoon. The first time he turned out to be in a horrible mood and just started balling his little eyes out as soon as the spoon touched his lips. The second time I waited until after I fed him and it turned out to be a big mess. He basically drooled it all back out of his mouth while doing the nom-nom-nom motion. His tongue still hasn't figure out how to keep food in his mouth yet, haha.
- wanted to face out when we were holding him. He's bored with facing in and is ready to see the world. He'll be ok with facing inward if he's really tired and needs to rest his face.
- would much rather be outside or visiting a new place. He's getting bored with being at home it seems like. When we take him to the store in his stroller he is totally content, but he seems to have cabin fever at home and makes sure we know he's unhappy to be there.
- found his feet. He's been grabbing them every chance he gets starting as soon as he gets up in the morning. He'll just hang out in his crib and play with his feet. He'll grab them in his swing if he gets the chance and on the changing table as well.
- has been groaning/whining A LOT. Taking him outside and out to the store in the stroller seems to be the only way to make it stop. We thought he had started teething so we've been offering him toys to chew on but it doesn't seem to do the trick, then the whining just seems to be out of boredom or tiredness. It is really hard to tell sometimes with him. Our last resort is just that he's hungry and possibly going through another growth spurt (holy cow this kid is growing like crazy if it is). We'll see how it goes just feeding him when he starts his whining... This seemed like it could be the case on Sunday but we're not totally sure yet.
- still has congestion issues. We really haven't treated them since he has given us plenty of other issues to worry about, but it is definitely annoying to him.
- the rash on the top of Blake's feet is still there and possible getting worse. When we treated with hydrocortizone, it got better the first couple days but didn't go away completely, then it came back even worse so it looks like another doctor's visit may be in order. We're going to try a different lotion first.
- visited Daycare to meet all his teachers and to make sure he'd actually be able to take a nap with all the commotion of 5 other kids in one room. 3 of the kids had to be carted away on a stroller ride, but that in addition to lowering the lights and turning up the lullaby music seemed to do the trick and he got a nice 30 min nap on the vibrating chair. This makes Chris and I feel that much better about him going to Daycare.
- spit up a decent amount on Sunday after eating some formula. He is still on the Alimentum which is supposed to be the best option for babies with dairy/soy allergies but it just doesn't seem to agree with his stomach recently. It was fine when we were using the original stuff from the doctor, but it seems this last couple of sessions with it has been a mess. His gas/stomach does okay, but when he takes it, he has a couple projectile spit ups (basically vomiting really), so we're back to food issues again. This is even from 2 different sources of the formula too, so not sure it could be a bad batch =(

Since there is nothing else to entertain me, I'll eat my hand.
Oh fun a toy.
I'll eat this instead.
Was this a trick to get me to play longer on my tummy?
Videos:
I took these both with my new cell phone so hopefully they look ok.
The jumperoo is so much fun!
