November {2018} Cell Phone Pics

We had our irrigation system winterized which was a new experience. The guy hooked up this compressor with a big hose and blew out all the water.

Puzzles made this month.

We had to get some window treatments for our front window since it has been getting dark so early and everyone driving by can see in the windows.

We also got some new accessories for the downstairs bathroom. It's a great start!

The boys started basketball, but Brett only lasted a few minutes before he didn't want to play anymore.

It sure got cold in a hurry!

We did a bridge experiement since Blake is doing one at school. He said we could only use straws, tape, and yarn. The goal was to hold 100 pennies. Mine held 185 before tipping over.

Our fall niche. It needs a little work, but it was nice to have some color!

We had some freezing rain and it made icicles on the gutters.

And our poor trees in the backyard looked rough since they have so many leaves left and they just sagged with the weight of all the ice.

This poor tree lost a few branches.

The tree out front was really pretty.

The boys just had to get all bundled up for the first snow of the season.

Our wax ring failed on the downstairs toilet. Luckily we saw the puddle of water down in the basement when we were replacing the smoke detector down there.

Blake's made our note.

I've started baking veggies. So easy and tasty!

We finally got to go back to UT's campus. We stopped on our way down to Chattanooga for Thanksgiving. It was cool to walk around and remember things, but to also see how much has changed (a lot!).

Cousins at the park before Rock City.

Glow bracelets at Rock City.

Such a cool view off the mountain.

Then we went to the Chattanooga Children's Museum before heading back to Ohio. It's always such a fun place.

Potato cakes with leftover Thanksgiving mashed potatoes. So yum!

Brett helped me build a block tower.

The boys had some friends over for a playdate and had such a great time. Brett's friend Frances was in his class last year, and her older sister, Bridget, is in Blake's class this year. They all get along so well and became friends before even realizing who their siblings were. So cool!

We've already gotten a couple ground coverings of snow this year.

New playroom ceiling fan, take 2.

New ice cream maker since all the ice cream sold in stores is produced in a facility that also processes peanuts. We tried it with dairy, and it made fantastic ice cream. Now I'll have to find some recipes to make some dairy free ice cream which is super hard to find!

The boys loved the process, but only Brett liked the results.
