Blake was finally the "king" in his class. There was a clerical error and he got missed so he got to be the last one in his classroom. From what I understand, the teacher would ask the whole class to raise their hands and if they had a "k" in their name they would keep it raised. If they had an "e" they would keep it raised, and she would go until all the letters had been called in the "king or queen" of the day. Blake finally got a chance on one of the days that Brett and I went to lunch with him and he was so proud to wear his crown.
Brett can write his name and I was shocked!
The boys making a piece of art with a reusable sticky pad.
Blake on crazy sock and crazy hair/hat day at school. He made his very own crazy hat.
Brett is not a creature of habit for lunch like he is for breakfast so we've started a new thing where we get a bunch of cupcake liners and fill them with different things so he has a lunch variety.
Blake using the cash register as a calculator. He is into arithmetic and he likes to write out equations.
Brett in car line and all ready to go to school.
Punching our map at one of the checkpoints in the corn maze.
Riding on the hay ride at the pumpkin farm. It was so hot out!
The big slide at the pumpkin farm. Thankfully Chris went down with Brett.
The kid's hay maze.
Brett playing with the digging machine.
Our group as we got started on the big corn maze.
Blake loves playing with water. He wanted to play here all day.
Apparently I have a teenager since this note was left on the stairs for me.
Doing a ring toss at our community fall harvest festival.
Blake got 2 points and was tied for the lead until someone came up and got a ring around the 3 point hat.
Brett made it to the final 4 on the "pass the pumpkin" game. Then he lost and was very upset.
The boys got their first face (or body) paint! Brett loved his so much, he cried when I had to wash it off before bed.
Painting the pumpkins that we got from the pumpkin farm.
The boys did a really good job making a digger out of the straw connectors.
Our first snow of the season 10/28.
Blake taught Mimi how to play with his snap circuits and read diagrams. Mimi is such a good sport!
Pumpkin carving inside this year.
Hallzooween at the zoo. The boys got to visit all the stations and go trick or treating. They had a great time and most of the stations had peanut free goodies which was really great!
Brett's class Halloween party. All the kids got dressed up in their costumes. Either Brett was tired or his mask was bothering him.
Then they got snack which was yummy Halloween cookies.
Then one of the moms read "Room on the Broom".
Then they finished up with a trick or treating parade around the school.
Blake's Halloween party was next. When we got there he was at the snack station.
Then they played Pass the Pumpkin.
And he WON! He was so excited to get his smarties and googly eye stickers.
Last was the craft station and he made some sort of monster.
As we left, I couldn't help but take a picture of this cuteness.
Our pumpkins all lit up. Brett wanted Rainbow Dash (from My Little Pony), Chris wanted a witch on a broom, and Blake wanted an Iron Man mask. I had fun carving them and we made some really good pumpkin seeds this year.
Our superhero clan this year! It was a lot colder than last year so wonder woman traded in her tank top for a turtle neck.
The Harvey/Burroughs clan.
Iron Man and Captain America.
Beckett was the Hulk and Mazie was a cookie (Shopkin) I think.
And Abby was a unicorn from the Uni the Unicorn book.
