Blake's 3rd Birthday Party

Blake decided he wanted a race car AND construction vehicle themed birthday party after I asked him which one he wanted. We ended up mostly going with the race car theme and it didn't go exactly as planned. We had been envisioning having everyone out on the patio with all the ride on toys to be used as race cars but the weather had other plans. It hadn't rained in weeks (only in short spurts) and of course it pretty much poured the entire time, and even continued the whole day! We made the most of it and had the party inside, and I think everyone had a really good time anyway.

The food table turned out pretty cute with the new cement mixer as the balloon weight.

All gluten free snacks for us and our diet restricted guests.

The waters had unique stickers so we didn't have to write names with sharpies.

All that rain out on the nice clean patio (Thank you Mimi for all your hard work cleaning it!).

Custom bean bag toss with race car banner.

The playroom and all the decorations.

I love this 80s mirror in our house because I can put tape all over it and it comes right off when we're done.

The boys playing with the race car ramp I built out of foam board. The yellow lines are raised so there are 4 separate lanes for racing. Each party guest got a hot wheels car when they arrived so they could play with it during the party and take it home with them.

Blake liked everyone singing to him and had no problem being in the spotlight.

Time to make a wish and blow out the candles.

Got one out the first time.

Then a few blows later he got all 3.

The centerpiece became a toy after dessert.

A video of the boys playing with the race car ramp.

Singing happy birthday to Blake!
