This week, Blake:
- has been doing very well with modified tummy time, which is just holding him in the vertical burping position. His neck is so much stronger and he can hold his head on his own for a few seconds and even more. He's kind of a bobble head but he gets stronger every day!
- has made it clear that he will be fussy late in the evening unless he gets a ton of food. He will not settle down or get ready for bed unless we pump him full of at least 4-5 and sometimes up to 7oz of food.
- moved up to size 1 diapers even though we still had a couple newborns left. They are quite a bit bigger but the newborns were getting way too tight around his chunky legs and belly.
- still has his most intense screaming fits because of gas in his belly. He's let out a couple super high pitched screams and it just breaks my heart.
- has been sleeping for longer amounts of time for the first stretch of the night after we fill his belly. He typically goes 4-5 hours but one night this week he slept 7 hours and it was amazing! We also tried out his sound machine that has been sitting next to his bed since he was born. He seems to sleep well with the song that sounds like the inside of the uterus with the whooshing of blood vessels and a heart beat.
- started playing on his gymini more. We use it for tummy time but then turn him on his back and let him try and play with the hanging toys. It might have been by accident but he waved his arms a few times and actually made contact with some of them.
- has done much better with tracking objects with his eyes and even turns his head if he's really interested.
- really increased his love for the pictures above couch and when we're trying to burp him he doesn't want to put his head down on your chest... he wants to lift his head and look at the pictures above the couch.
- has shown an increase in his leg strength and can push his body a few inches when he's horizontal, either on his belly for tummy time or on his back in my lap.
- recognizes faces even more and likes to study them.
- loves hanging out on his changing table after his diaper change, mostly because he has a good view of the dining room chandelier.
- spent more time in the Moby Wrap around the house mostly. He seems to enjoy being in it as long as I'm standing, but once I sit down the tension changes and he is no longer content. He's also not a fan of coming out of the Moby... maybe because parts of his body get all cramped and he just needs to be unbundled a little more slowly.
- went on his first stroller ride around the neighborhood and seemed to enjoy the jiggling of the sidewalk. It was really hot outside so we made it pretty quick.
Blake loves looking at the lights and is so captivated by them.
Sleeping on mommy.

Sleeping on Aunt Lindsay.
Our first trip out in the stroller.
It was very relaxing.
We finally got Blake swaddled and it was amazing how fast he calmed down once we tilted him on his side.
Hanging out with his TiTi.
Gazing into Daddy's eyes... or maybe just the picture above the couch.
